Leaf spring:

When the leaf spring is deformed under load, the plates will slide relative to each other to generate friction, which can dampen the vibration of the frame. However, friction will accelerate the wear of the spring pieces, so when assembling the leaf spring, graphite grease or plastic gaskets should be applied between the pieces to reduce wear.
