1. The pressure in the box is too high. In general, the skeleton oil seal can withstand an internal pressure of 1kg/cm². If the pressure in the box is too large and exceeds the bearing capacity of the skeleton oil seal, the leakage will increase significantly, such as poor ventilation of the crankcase, blockage of the gearbox and rear axle housing vents, and serious oil leakage from the oil pump, all of which will become the triggering factors for failure. . When the above abnormal situation occurs, the following phenomena will also occur: the paper pad between the screw that penetrates into the cavity of the box and the joint surface will also leak oil;
2. The skeleton oil seal is divided into low-speed type and high-speed type. Replacing the high-speed type with a low-speed type will greatly reduce the service life. If the skeleton oil seal is selected, the dimensions and specifications are incomplete, and the performance description should be checked to determine whether the model corresponds to it;
3. The journal is rough and the finish is too low. The smoothness of the journal should not be lower than 7~8, otherwise the lip of the skeleton oil seal will wear quickly;
4. The looseness of the shaft pump and the looseness of the shaft pump will cause the eccentricity of the journal, which will cause the rotating sealing lip of the skeleton oil seal to bear a large load difference, resulting in premature wear;
5. The grinding hole of the skeleton oil seal is not concentric with the journal, which will cause uneven radial pressure distribution on the lip of the skeleton oil seal, which will also lead to the same consequences.
