Oil seals are often referred to as grease, fluid, dirt or lip seals. Oil seals are an integral part of any assembly of rotating and moving parts. They close the space between fixed and moving parts in mechanical equipment. In most applications, seals are either partially or temporarily immersed or simply exposed to splashes of lubricant, especially in engines, transmissions, gearboxes or axles. They are an essential part of almost all machines and vehicles in operation. Oil seals usually consist of three basic components: sealing element (nitrile rubber part), metal housing and spring. It is a widely used sealing element. The function of the seal is to prevent the leakage of the medium along the moving parts.
