Oil seals are generally divided into single type and assembled type. The assembled type is that the skeleton and lip materials can be freely combined, and are generally used for special oil seals. From the sealing function, characteristics, structure type, working state and sealing mechanism of the oil seal, it can be divided into various forms and different names, but it is customary to call the rotary shaft lip seal ring oil seal, static seal and dynamic seal (generally reciprocating motion ) is called a seal with a seal.
1. The crankshaft oil seal is a key sealing element on the engine assembly, and its poor sealing effect will directly reduce the amount of lubricating oil and affect the normal operation of the engine.
2. The seal of the crankshaft oil seal is divided into two parts, one is the static seal with the mounting hole, and the other is the dynamic seal with the crankshaft.
3. The static seal relies on the interference fit between the rubber of the outer ring of the oil seal and the mounting hole; while the dynamic seal rotating with the crankshaft uses the oil return groove of the oil seal lip to match the movement of the crankshaft. The lubricating oil in the gap between the port and the crankshaft is pumped back into the engine crankcase to achieve sealing.
